Crossing the street is very easy
A VERY VERY CLEAN CITY, everything looks new and nice. It is amazing, there are circles everywhere. There traffic system looks complicated but works very well.
Hey its a store, or a mall, wait a grocery store? Lets go shopping, milka, apples, chips, water and chocolate=lunch
Passeig de Gracia:
La Pedrera, Gaudi is amazing, his buildings are everywhere and all of them are breathtaking. The thing with Barcelona is they have these amazing buildings just tucked in the city. all the buildings are amazing and look very nice but randomly there are these amazing ones, which become tourist sites. Its really cool that they arent intentional built that way.
Placa de Espanya:
Hey thats a bull ring, uh no its not: Its a HUGE ASS MALL, what?
It is a four layer mall that is completely circular, IT IS FRIGGIN COOL. I just wandered in and was amazed at how nice it was. And then you can take the escalators all the way up to the roof where you can walk all around the outside of the top of the mall. I made it up there and freaked out, my legs started shaking. I have a huge fear of heights. Maybe next time.
3 plazas in one day. I was pooed, didnt really eat. Had 2 hours sleep when I arrived it was 8am here. So i just had to pretend it was morning. By 2 I was exhausted. So I was like, I'm getting good at this metro lets go home. I figured out I had to take the L3 which took me to the edge of Barcelona. Then I got on the L11 which takes you as far away from Barcelona as the Metro goes. So I get to the L11 stop and ask how I get to Cerdanyola.
Respuesta: Cerdanyola? Pues yo no se. That is what I got like 80 times.
So I go off at the stop that transfers to something else. I thought it would be in the same train station but it wasnt. It was across the street. They had 3 trains(above ground) going north and one said Cerdanyola. Yay its here. NOPE thats a false alarm. I needed Terresa or Meresa train. Well where would that be? On the other side going the opposite direction. At this point I'm on the brink of tears. I am exhausted, starving and dehydrated. My Spanish was horrible because I was tired and everything was in Catalan so I couldnt pronounce it. So I asked these random two ladies. The one woman was going to where I was. Ay Dios Mio, Gracias a Dios. She said to follow her and she will get me off at Cerdonyola.
YESSSSSSSSSSS, Finally, after almost 2 hours of searching around, memorizing maps and taking every possible train combination: Someone has heard of Cerdonyola. She took me out of the station and no one in Cerdanyola knew where my hotel was. I was about to GRITAR(scream) but she took me to a taxi where he knew (of course because there is money involved).
Thank you so much to that santa mujer, she was a saint and helped me so much, was the nicest lady and made sure I got there. The second I got to the hotel, I put on some Spanish Mtv and PASSED OUT. Woke up 5 hours later. Slept through dinner.
You know what, thats enough traveling today, I can get lost again tomorrow, but not today. Tonight I will stay put and try fresh tomorrow.
Also saw the coolest game show, they give you 6 numbers and then another number. Like 2,6,2,9,4,5 and then 346. You have to multiply, divide, subtract and add the 6 numbers to get as close to the big number as possible. They only had a minute, it was pretty cool, then you have 10 letters and they need to make a word with them and whoever has the longest word wins. Then repeat
Ok lets figure out the metro
1. Its all in Catalan yay! I cant read anything.
2. This looks easy, a big map of trains all interchanging with eachother.
I have no idea what sites are in which stop
After hours of going on the wrong side on the train, going to the wrong direction, I eventually figured it out.
