Day 31: Spain this isn't goodbye it's see you later :(

Woke up call at 5:00am, took showers, packed and got on 6:00 shuttle to airport.  Checked into SPANAIR and had a few requests.  Sales office wanted to charge $750 or so just to move my flight up, so asked at the check-in counter.

Called my host mom to say goodbye. It was sad, I'm gonna miss them :(

Spent the rest of our euros on souvenirs in the Madrid airport.

Then we got on the plane and headed home. When I landed in America I felt different. I felt like I was being punished. It was dark and cloudy and miserable. I left a blue sky blue water paradise to come back to PA. It was cruel but I got to see my mom and my pets and I felt much better.

I can't wait to go back in Spring for a whole semester, I don't think I'll be able to leave.

Day 30: The Magic of Montjuïc

Took the bus to the Barcelona metro stop.  Took Metro to get on a gondola ride ($14/person approx) through the park to get to the top of a very steep hill to the castle in Parc de Montjuic. The castle overlooked the Mediterranean Sea and can now be added to my castle collection.

Then we went back on Metro and headed to Church of Barcelona. Then we walked to Arc de Triumf and the hit Metro to Plaza de Espana.  Went to roof for another excellent view and then back through mall.  Left there walking to giant magic fountain that was real crowded.

At night the fountain does a color show. Then we took Metro back to catch bus.  Decided to eat and had 5 tapas, paella, sangria and beer.  We missed the last bus of the night so we had to take a cab back to hotel, only ended up costing us an extra 12 Euros or $18.  Got home around 12 exhausted.
